Help us extend an extravagant welcome to Mr. Shadrack Nyaulingo, Headmaster of the Pomerini Secondary School. He will be visiting us from Saturday, May 13, to Sunday, May 29, 2017.

Our partnership with educators, doctors, and community leaders has made a lasting impact on the village of Pomerini. Each new effort affects and inspires another. Increasing access to fresh water has allowed hundreds of young girls to attend school. School attendance, now at all time highs, requires more teachers and administrative oversight. Access to fresh water has dramatically reduced infant mortality due to diarrhea and contaminated water, but access to basic medical care remains a challenge. While here, Mr. Shadrack will visit area schools, houses of worship, and community organizations to provide us a first hand report on our efforts.

Unexpected: An evening of stories and dinner

The highlight of Mr. Shadrack’s visit will be Saturday, May 20, at 6:00 p.m. If you enjoy programs like The Moth, where “stories told live and without notes,” then this is your night. Hosted by Fugitive Stories, our theme will be “Unexpected.” Stories will come from both professional storytellers and from within the Africa Exchange Project.
