Adult Christian Education

Bible Explorers is a weekly bible study course often using the Kerygma curriculum to guide discussion.

Evening Classes. Our staff frequently offer adult and family classes through which to deepen their faith commitment.

Deacons. In addition to their hospitality opening the church for worship, the Deacons are a learning community. Occasionally the Deacons sponsor church events to build the community. This year, the Deacons have committed to read scripture daily. Would you like to join them?

Music Ministries

The Plymouth Church is proud of our music program, including both an extraordinary music staff: Elissa Putukian, Director of Music; Polly Snyder, Bell Choir Director; and Leslie Randall Dooley, Youth Choir Director and devoted musicians from the congregation. We have five active choirs:

• Senior Choir (adults)
• Chapel Choir (high school youth)
• Junior Choir (middle school youth)
• Cherub Choir (children)
• Bell Choir (all ages)

Social Activities

One of the joys of The Plymouth Church is that you inherit an extended family. At every turn there are chances to meet new friends and deepen relationships with familiar faces. In addition to coffee hour, music and Christian education, we also have the following groups:

Cornucopia is a group of women who read books and watch video-series for discussion and, generally, have a good time enjoying the companionship of other women.

Early Birds is an informal group of men who gather Wednesday mornings for breakfast at the crack of dawn!

Getting Involved

The Plymouth Church, as a member of the United Church of Christ, has what we call a "congregational polity." This means that the congregation is in complete control of all the ministries of the church. While we are in connection with other churches within and beyond our denomination, we alone hold the decision making power for how things get done.

In 2001, The Plymouth Church reorganized our church to increase the number of opportunities for our membership to get involved a ministry which best uses their gifts and talents. To learn more about our councils, committees and the many ways you can get involved, click below.
