Saturday, October 4 - City of Framingham welcomes the Plymouth Church Cookie Walk to its 325th Festival Celebration on the Common

Our Cookie Walk this year will be on the Common as our contribution to the city-wide celebration! Our fearless leader needs your help baking up a few dozen smallish, sturdy cookies, or helping out that day on the Common.

October 19-24 (Sunday - Friday): Fair Prep Week

Please click any of the links below to learn more details about the fair, donation details and opportunities for you to contribute in areas of specific need. Working on the Fair becomes good times spent with friends old and new.

Discover the wisdom, humor, and many talents in our church, and we hope you won’t be shy in sharing yours.

  • A whole classroom room of books and the price is right. Organized and managed by Kathy & Don Copson with the help of many bookworm elves during setup week.

  • Our comfy Youth Room becomes a Children’s Library and Reading Room and maybe a Sing-a-Long space again on Fair Day.

Could you be the new Kids Books Chairperson to create this space? Click here for a description of the role!

  • A White Elephant is a like-new or gently-used and clean item no longer wanted in your home, destined to become another person’s “I need this” treasure! Our Parish Hall and side lawn are transformed into a giant tag sale, managed by Dawn Geiser, Glenn Pruszinski, Leona Dalton, and Carole Blackman

Summer is not too early to prepare your donations or mark your calendar for set-up week to help sort and arrange our infamous annual sale.

  • A whole section of like-new and gently-used toys, games, puzzles and sporting equipment looking to be loved again in another home.  Artfully arranged and managed by Jaime Prince, Alison Simons and kids.

  • Play time!  Al Rapoza and team offer traditional games such as ring toss and corn hole, and maybe a few unique ones that only creative minds can make happen.  Can you lend some talent or spunk to this part of our Fair?

  • A whole classroom of beautiful jewelry and trinkets, with a loyal fan base. New designs and displays managed by Laraine Snooks, Jane Fadden, Nancy and Cristina Romero.

  • Mattie Schadt and crew will find the perfect costume for you! Donations needed!

  • Cathy Allen (also known as Zumba and Christmas Cathy) magically creates a warm and festive Christmas Store in our Nursery, your donations.

  • Led by Jessica Campbell. A dozen big jars, each filled with a different kind of cookie. You select which ones go into your container.  Cookie Walk 2025 will be 3 weeks before the Fair at Framingham’s 325th Celebration Festival Saturday October 4th on the Common.

Please bake a few dozen smallish sturdy cookies and let us know the ingredients.

  • Mmm, fresh popped for you by Robyne Jerome and Nancy Miskowiec.

  • There is something for everyone among these unique hand made creations. Contributions welcome! Talk with Elizabeth Tustian, Shari Van Hook, Leslie Clark or LJ Carroll. We fill the Parish Hall foyer with lovely treasures and Gift Baskets.

  • With Meg’s expertise and leadership a hearty kitchen crew creates Lunch! Jerry Harting provides ‘Chowda’, Jody Comley makes a yummy Vegetarian soup or sandwich, Joe Comley contributes Chili, and Meg creates a variety of delicious homemade sandwiches and fruit salad, and slices of Apple pie. Talk to Meg Doucette to join this fun kitchen team!

  • We are blessed to have great fudge makers in our midst to maintain this popular tradition. We almost always sell out so we need more Fudge makers, And, we need a Fudge Manager!

Click here to learn more about being a Fudge Manager!

  • A favorite showcase for our talented bakers!  Reach out to Beth Marascio or Sydney Turner if you need any suggestions for what you might be whipping up!

Watch the Wednesday emails for the next date of our annual Group Pie Making night in the Parish Hall Kitchen. We need Lots of Pies.

  • Scout Troop #12 recently celebrated 100 years of scouting here at Plymouth Church. For ten plus years and counting, Steve Geiser leads the troop to provide high quality hot dogs with all the fixings, served in delicious buttered Framingham Baking Company donated rolls. Troop 12 handles this Fair tradition as an annual service to their host Church.

  • This well tuned operation is now managed by our Treasurer Kathy Copson. There are sit down jobs for counting money, and there are ‘Runners’ who collect money throughout the day to be counted by the team. The Treasury needs counters, runners, and credit card cashiers.

  • A few strong backed folk meet the week before the Fair to put up car ports and move tables. Early on Fair day they set up Pop-up tents and tables and chairs for outside eating. They also break down after the Fair. Can you help here? Contact Sandy Clarke to coordinate!

  • At 2 pm closing time on Fair Day, this team boxes up and delivers leftovers to Savers and a few other selected donation centers. We try hard to upcycle and re-donate. If it doesn’t get driven away, it gets dumpstered, which likely ends in landfill…ugh!

  • Show up at 2 pm and impress us with your vacuuming skills!

  • We will need lots of hands to help the Fall Fair flourish! You can click the link below to find out how else you can help.

Host the Kick-off Party (Sunday, October 19th)

The annual Fall Fair is a major fundraiser for Plymouth Church and a community-wide event that brings us all together in great spirit. It’s a ton of work and an equal amount of fun. We have hosted the Fair for over 50 years. What started as a Crafts Boutique has evolved into something uniquely ours, with a strong and loyal local following.

There is a perfect task or place for everyone to get connected and join in the fun. Whether you are sorting donations, making displays, moving tables, creating games, baking, or doing any one of the other many tasks, your contributions are critical to our success.
